External audit finds no material problems; board accepts report unanimously

The Mountain View Whisman School District board unanimously accepted the districts independent audit for the year ended June 30, 2025, after the district's auditor reported unmodified opinions and no findings.

Kyle Montgomery, lead partner from Christy White, summarized the audit and told trustees "each one of the audit opinions provided was unmodified" and that the audit team had "no findings or questioned costs to report" for fiscal year 2025. Montgomery described the three audit reports — financial statements, federal single‑audit compliance and state compliance — and said the reports represent a clean outcome for the district.

Trustee Lambert moved to accept the audit as presented; Vice President Henry seconded and the board approved the motion unanimously on a roll call/voice vote. Trustees asked no substantive follow‑up questions during the short Q&A.

The board's acceptance allows district staff and the finance office to proceed with required state filing and public posting of the audit and to use the audited financials as the basis for upcoming budget planning and the Jan. 29 follow‑up discussion of proposed reductions.
