The Stamford planning board unanimously approved a lot-line modification for Subdivision 4053 at a special Dec. 22 meeting, allowing the proposed two-lot subdivision at 90 Haviland Road to meet RA‑1 zoning minimums.
Staff told the board that the final map had not been recorded and that Lot 2C was "just shy of the 1 acre required" in the RA‑1 single-family district because of access-way calculations. The applicant revised the access way—shortening it and counting part of it toward lot area—so the lot meets the minimum lot-area requirement, staff said. No other physical changes to the subdivision were proposed.
Applicant representative Steve appeared for the presentation and said he and attorney John Lydon were available to answer questions. After no substantive questions from the board, Ravi moved to approve the lot-line change, Jeremy seconded, and the presiding member stated the motion passed unanimously.
The board thanked staff for catching the zoning nonconformity prior to recording the final map and confirmed the correction resolves the RA‑1 lot-area issue. The applicant may proceed with recording the revised final map per normal procedures.
