Commission acknowledges seven bids for emergency truck, forwards review to staff

The Carbon County Commission reviewed seven sealed bids submitted for a 2024 3/4‑ton emergency management truck and voted to forward the bids to staff for evaluation and award.

Staff reported bids from regional dealers with prices reported in the meeting roughly between $71,093 and $79,047 for various 2024 and 2020 model chassis (multiple bids came from Salt Lake Valley Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Price Autofarm/Price Autofarm Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, and Young Automotive Group). A county representative confirmed concern raised by a commissioner that post‑warranty service should be available locally; staff said dealerships in Carbon County would be available for service.

Unidentified Speaker 4 moved to acknowledge the seven bids and turn them over to Justin and Commissioner Hopes for review and to award the best value; Unidentified Speaker 3 seconded. The motion passed.
