Committee reports three bills out with due-pass recommendations after executive session

Representative Farvar moved amendment SHIP 158 to substitute House Bill 22-10 (ranked-choice voting), a technical change to preserve jurisdictions that adopt rank-choice voting prior to the bill’s effective date. The amendment was adopted and substitute HB 22-10 was reported out with a roll-call tally recorded by staff: 4 ayes, 2 nays, 1 excused.

Vice Chair Stearns offered amendment H3084.1 to substitute House Bill 22-05 to make it a Class C felony to threaten sports officials, coaches or participants where the threat relates to a wager on the event and to bar convicted threateners from placing wagers; the amendment was adopted. Substitute HB 22-05 was reported out by roll call with 5 ayes, 1 nay and 1 excused.

House Bill 22-49 (classification of WATEC employees) was reported out by voice vote with 6 ayes, 0 nays and 1 excused. The committee then adjourned.
