Public Works commission elects Dunlap as chair and Purnell as vice chair; minutes approved

The Public Works and Infrastructure Commission completed officer elections and administrative items on Jan. 28. Vice chair (recorded in transcript with variant spellings 'Bridal'/'Brunel') nominated Commissioner Dunlap for chair; Commissioner Dunlap accepted the nomination and the commission approved the nomination by voice/roll call. The motion passed on a roll call in which all voting commissioners recorded 'yes.'

The commission then nominated Commissioner Purnell for vice chair; Purnell accepted and the nomination passed by roll call with all recorded votes in favor. The commission also voted to approve the minutes from the Dec. 10, 2025 regular meeting; roll call returned one abstention (Commissioner Kuo) and the motion carried.

All formal roll-call tallies were recorded on the meeting record and the chair and vice chair changes will take effect at the next commission meeting as part of the usual seating rotation.
