Executive Director Doris Richler reviewed the retirement board’s strategic calendar for 2026 and an administrative work plan. She said the consulting-actuary RFP was issued Jan. 12 and finalist interviews will coincide with the March board meeting; an investment-consultant RFP is scheduled for March as well.
Richler also reminded trustees that Form 700 filings will be required through the FPPC’s electronic portal for 2026 reports and that the 2025 Form 700 is due March 31, 2026. She noted trustees leaving the board are still required to file Form 700.
On elections, Richler announced a special election for the retired-member seat to be held April 10, 2026 for the remainder of the term through Nov. 30, 2026; declarations of candidacy are due Feb. 13, 2026. If only one candidate files, staff will ask the Board of Supervisors to cast a unanimous vote without mailing ballots.
Richler asked for volunteer trustees to serve on an ad hoc RFP review committee; two trustees volunteered for the consulting-actuary selection work.
