At its Dec. 15 meeting the Evansville Common Council recorded the following outcomes (selected):
- Ordinance G2025-25 (Fire Merit Commission update) — Adopted 8–0. (Chief explained changes to align with Indiana code.)
- Ordinance G2025-26 (Certificate for Dave's Taxi Service) — Adopted 8–0. (Owner David Gobelot addressed the council.)
- Ordinance G2025-27 (Parking-code rewrite with parking credits) — Adopted 8–0.
- Ordinance F2025-20 (Metropolitan Development repeal & reappropriation) — Adopted 6–0 (two councilors recused).
- Ordinance F2025-21 amended (Interfund transfers, EMS design funding, opioid-settlement grants) — Adopted 7–1.
- Ordinance R2025-29 amended (Rezoning/PUD, Amcor parcel) — Adopted 7–1.
- Ordinance R2025-30 amended (Rezoning/PUD, Amcor parcel) — Adopted 7–1.
- Resolution C2025-27 (Renew legal counsel contract with retainer increase) — Adopted 7 ayes, 0 nays, 1 abstention.
- Resolution C2025-28 (Interlocal agreement with Knight Township Fire Protection) — Adopted 8–0.
Several board and commission appointments were also approved; public comment at the end of the meeting focused on calls for independent review of an officer-involved shooting and transparency around bodycam footage.
