Monroe County commissioners approved a contract with Elite Electric to purchase and install a new generator for the health department, accepting a base quote of $19,500 and noting possible additional costs for gas piping and installation.
Speaker 2 described the work and the vendor quote, saying “I believe the quote from Elite Electric is for 19,500. Now there might be some additional cost for gas piping and things like that, but that was the base quote we received.” Speaker 1 moved to approve the contract; Speaker 3 seconded the motion.
Board staff referenced potential funding from the COAG school liaison grant (Speaker 2 said Miss Kelly would look at obtaining or using grant funds). Mr. Cockrell called the roll and Commissioner Thomas, Commissioner Jones and Commissioner Madera each voted yes; the motion passed, 3–0. The board noted the base price and that additional funds may be required depending on final installation needs.
