Fall River Redevelopment Authority approves $391,013.50 warrant, OKs $27,000 audit contract

The Fall River Redevelopment Authority on Jan. 28 approved routine administrative business including a $391,013.50 January warrant and the selection of an auditor for the 2025 fiscal-year audit.

Board members voted unanimously to approve the open session minutes from Dec. 17, 2025, and then approved the January warrant after the chair reported the warrant had been reviewed and signed. The amount entered into the record was $391,013.50.

Staff reported that the evaluation for the 2024 audit had arrived and that a representation letter was ready for signatures via DocuSign. According to the meeting transcript, a staff speaker stated, "There were no findings in this year's audit." The board was told there would be no management letter and that final paperwork would follow once the representation letter was returned.

The authority then considered a proposal from Clifton Lisonbee Allen dated Jan. 15, 2026, to provide audit services for the 2025 fiscal year at a total cost of $27,000. The board moved, seconded, and approved the contract and authorized either the chair or the executive director to sign the proposal so work can commence.

Votes on the items were recorded orally during the meeting. The minutes and warrant were approved on roll-call statements of 'yes' by members on the record; the audit services proposal likewise passed on the vote recorded in the meeting.

The representation letter for the 2024 audit will be sent for electronic signature and staff said the auditor will provide final paperwork when that process is complete.
