Brown County schedules ‘Coffee with the Commissioners’ event for Feb. 12

The Brown County Commission scheduled an outreach event titled "Coffee with the Commissioners" for Feb. 12 at 5:30 p.m. at the Brooming Barn of the historical society.

Speaker 2 explained the event will be informal, not a business meeting and not streamed on YouTube, and encouraged Brown County residents to attend to ask questions directly of commissioners. "We're looking for participation from Brown County residents to come in and speak face to face to us," Speaker 2 said. The commission approved the date and moved to publicize the event in the local paper, on KNZA and via social media.

Commissioners said they intend to pilot the event as commissioners-only initially and evaluate whether to expand invitations later. They suggested quarterly occurrences, with possible adjustments depending on demand and commissioner schedules.
