The San Jose Planning Commission unanimously approved its consent calendar and agreed to defer a conditional use permit for a San Jose Water Company utility facility to allow time for a required variance.
Deputy Director Munira Sandeep told the commission that the conditional use permit application (CP25-001 / ER25007) for a proposed utility facility at 0 Skyview Drive requires a variance and will be renoticed; staff expects the item to return to the commission at the second February meeting. The commission moved, seconded and approved the deferral with all present members consenting.
The consent calendar — which included approval of the Jan. 14 meeting minutes and CP25011 / ER25096, a conditional use permit to allow installation of a new potable water pump station — was moved, seconded and adopted by one motion. The roll call votes recorded all present commissioners voting yes; the chair announced the motion passed unanimously.
No additional public hearing items were listed for tonight, and staff noted there were no referrals from other city bodies.
