Commission confirms tax-abatement dates, approves warrants and adjourns

During routine business on Jan. 28 the Penobscot County Commission confirmed administrative dates and handled several formal motions.

Administrators confirmed tax-abatement hearing dates on March 4 and March 18 and said four hearings will be handled across those two dates. Commissioners asked to be present for hearings and directed staff to post the schedule.

Earlier in the meeting, the commission approved the Jan. 21 minutes after a motion and second; the clerk recorded the vote as having recorded vocal 'ayes' and a notation of '2-0, 1 abstention' while one commissioner was not present. Later, commissioners moved and seconded approval of the warrants presented for Jan. 28; by voice vote the commission recorded the action as unanimous.

The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn. The chair closed the meeting; the end time was recorded as 11:42.
