Dreamers Lane change-of-hours petition supported by neighborhood group but continued by board

Dreamers Lane LLC (d/b/a Maroons/Mamoo) sought a change of operating hours for its liquor license at 272–278 Worthington Street. Betsy Johnson, president of the Metro Center Association, told the Springfield Board of License Commissioners on Jan. 28 that the petitioner had spoken to the neighborhood council and revised the Sunday opening request from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., noting state law limits Sunday openings. "The official petition ended up being for 10," Johnson said, and she added the Metro Center Association supports the extension of the liquor license.

The manager of record, Ivan Felix, was not present at the meeting. The commission moved on to other items earlier in the agenda and later, when the applicant still was absent, voted to continue the petition to a later date so the applicant could appear.

No final action on hours was taken. The commission recorded the neighborhood group's support on the record and continued the matter; staff will notify the applicant of the new date.
