Commissioners approved the evening’s agenda by voice/roll call with the chair announcing the motion passed 6-0. The consent agenda, which included county invoice payments for Jan. 17–23 totaling $1,440,296.11, appointments to the Mid America Regional Council (MARC) board and several committee designees, passed 6-0.
On item 20 26 26, the commission approved nine invoices for the Clay County Prosecutor’s Office (Jan. 17–23) totaling $1,395.05. Commissioner Johnson moved approval; the roll call showed five votes in favor and one recusal. Commissioner Thompson announced, "I'll recuse myself," and the administrator confirmed the motion passed with five in favor and one recusal.
The commission also approved item 20 26 27, a purchase/contract for SymPro 't cloud' software used by the treasury department. Treasurer Don Jurkovich described the web-based system as compatible with the county’s upcoming investment adviser database and said the budgeted and contract amount is $4,000. The motion passed on roll call 6-0.
