Committee approves $12,500 in small community grants and authorizes virtual library board meetings

Horry County's Administration Committee approved multiple community benefit fund grants and a resolution to permit virtual meetings by the Horry County Library Board of Trustees.

Speaker 6 presented the community benefit items: $1,500 from District 11 to Aynor High School varsity baseball for equipment and travel; $1,500 from District 11 to Conway Hotshots for equipment and travel; $1,500 from District 11 for the Student Angler League tournament trail; $2,000 from District 2 for the Waukeemont EOC to support a teacher and employee of the year program; and additional funds to Grand Strand Christian Church for Annie's Place Senior Apartments. Speaker 6 said the total awarded across listed requests and contributions from multiple districts and the chairman would be $12,500.
