The Twin Rivers Unified Board of Trustees on the June meeting carried a series of motions approving multiple student discipline matters and the bulk of its consent agenda.
Board members moved and seconded individual motions for a sequence of student expulsion, expression and readmission cases (several case IDs were read aloud during the meeting). The clerk conducted roll-call votes for each motion; the chair announced “motion carries” after most roll calls. The motions were typically made by Trustee Fowler and seconded by Trustee Baker, with Trustee Jefferson recorded as dissenting on at least one item and other trustees recorded as voting "aye" in roll calls.
The board also handled its consent agenda (39 items on the consent list), pulling several items for separate discussion and voting to approve the remainder. Several public commenters had urged postponement or additional outreach on items later discussed under the bell schedule issue (see separate article).
What’s next: The board’s minutes and formal item descriptions will provide the official record of each case and the precise outcomes; the verbal transcript records multiple motions and roll calls but does not enumerate full tabulated tallies for each case in a single consolidated table. The district clerk’s posted minutes and case documents are the official record for discipline outcomes.
