The Town of Babylon planning board held a public hearing Jan. 26 on a minor subdivision application (Job 24‑43B) by Frank and Nancy Apria to divide a 16,998.75‑square‑foot corner parcel into two conforming lots, with a new two‑story single‑family dwelling proposed for Lot 1 and the existing single‑story dwelling to remain on Lot 2.
Christine Faye of Accurate Expediting represented the applicant and told the board the applicants had reviewed the planning department memo and accepted the recommended conditions. She said the Zoning Board of Appeals had already granted the necessary variances and issued a negative declaration under SECRA, and that the subdivision was consistent with the established neighborhood character.
With no members of the public speaking on the matter, a board member moved to close the public hearing and reserve decision; the motion passed and the record was left open for revised plans and written comments. Staff advised how to inspect application documents and submit written comments to the planning department.
Next steps: staff will review revised plans and any written comments before the board issues a final decision.
