Mayor Jerry Bridal said Fountain Hills is “rising together and building for tomorrow” in the town's 2026 State of the Town address, describing volunteerism, civic partnerships and fiscal preparation for long‑term projects.
Bridal opened by thanking staff, volunteers and partners and recognizing local leaders. “We are a town with a rich history of volunteerism,” he said, praising the hundreds of volunteers who deliver services and noting volunteers saved the town “hundreds of thousands of dollars.”
The mayor singled out recent and planned projects that he said balance fiscal restraint with future needs, including drainage upgrades at Golden Eagle Park, reconstruction of Palomino Boulevard and widening of eastbound Shea Boulevard. He said the widening project is largely funded by the Maricopa Association of Governments, which reduces the town’s share of the cost.
Bridal also reaffirmed the town’s commitment to save for the eventual replacement of the Fountain Park lake liner, calling it “a responsibility as mayor and council” and noting the town has already set aside more than $6,000,000 to cover that future expense.
The speech included recognition of public‑private partnerships and cultural attractions. The mayor previewed continued investment in downtown and events and encouraged residents to participate in large‑scale celebrations planned for 2026.
Bridal closed by returning to his theme of teamwork and public service, thanking volunteers, town staff and local organizations for their contributions and urging continued community support as Fountain Hills implements the projects described.
