Council advances Champion Land Company conservation application to second round

The Cache County Council voted to advance the Champion Land Company LLC open-space application from Round 1 to Round 2 after a presentation by COSAC and public testimony in support of preserving agricultural lands.

COSAC chair Chris Sands presented the application: three noncontiguous parcels totaling about 242 acres north and east of Clarkston and west of Trenton. COSAC scored the application 40 out of 100, with strong points for productive dry farmland and potential to spur adjacent landowner interest.
