Larimer County commissioners received a quarter‑update on the 2024–2028 strategic plan on Jan. 28, 2026, where staff reported that roughly half of the plan’s actions are complete and new public tools will make progress more visible.
Josh Fudge, director of performance, budget and strategy, told the board the county’s strategic dashboard is now live and that many subobjectives are “operationalized” or near completion. He said teams have grouped performance measures into themes — how the county works; caring for spaces; community safety; and supporting neighbors — to make reporting more accessible to residents.
The county plans to publish a public story map and associated campaign, ‘mile markers and momentum,’ in February to highlight successes and to supply media kits and materials for community events. Michelle Berg, the objective team leader for communications, said the county has finalized a badge system and will offer both a QR‑linked badge for county projects and virtual badges for partner organizations.
Commissioners emphasized outreach and storytelling. Chair Commissioner Jody Shai Bagnale and Commissioner Kristin Stevens urged staff to show how work affects everyday life and to use the dashboards and storyboards to illustrate stewardship and return on investment.
Staff outlined next steps: all dashboards and links are available on the county strategic‑plan web page; staff will report again at the April work session on first‑quarter progress; and community input work for the 2029 plan will begin in coming years.
The session ended with no formal votes; the board adjourned following the presentations.
