Housing authority approves MOU to host Dream youth after‑school program at Desert Square

The housing authority board approved a memorandum of understanding to allow the Dream youth program to use the Desert Square community room for an after-school program that will also serve Douglas Square and Oakwood Trace.

Staff presenter described Dream as an established partner that will fully staff the program. Board members asked about the number of participants and facility usage; staff estimated building occupancy is improving at the referenced sites and said Dream will operate at multiple locations. The motion to approve the MOU was moved, seconded and carried by roll call.

Staff will finalize MOU terms, confirm start dates, and report program attendance to the board as the program launches.
