At its Jan. 26 meeting the Florissant City Council approved multiple ordinances on second/third readings and accepted several applications and transfers. Key outcomes:
- Bill 10150 (Ordinance to allow a restaurant in a B-5 Planned Commercial District at 14049 and 14055 Newhall Ferry Road) passed and became Ordinance No. 9155.
- Bill 10162 (ordinance authorizing acceptance of ownership assignment of real estate properties held by the St. Louis County Collector through collector's deed) passed and became Ordinance No. 9156.
- Bill 10163 (appropriation of $50,000 from the general revenue fund to account 10155350103 for the resident hazardous tree removal program) passed and became Ordinance No. 9157.
- Bill 10164 (authorize mayor to enter program agreement for federal funding, project STP 5622602, for improvements to St. Denis Street) passed and became Ordinance No. 9158.
- Bill 10165 (land acquisition services agreement with Lochmuller Group for St. Denis Phase 2) passed and became Ordinance No. 9159.
- Bill 10166 (transfer of special-use permit 9030 from Gossip Pasta LLC to Circle Empire LLC for a restaurant at 557 Huddershell Road) passed and became Ordinance No. 9160.
- Bill 10167 (agreement with Alco Wrecking Company for demolition services) passed and became Ordinance No. 9161.
- Additional budget and rollover appropriations (Bills 10168–10170) passed and became Ordinances Nos. 9162–9164.
Most of the listed final votes were taken by voice or roll call, with council members recorded as voting in the affirmative. Several public hearings that evening (including the Aubrey's Kids special-use request for 540 Huddershell and Cajun Kitchen's request for a carryout at Flower Valley) were closed and continued or scheduled for second/third readings and final votes on Feb. 9.
Separately, the council accepted multiple special-use transfers and applications at the meeting (including transfers for the restaurant at 1740 North Thunderbird Ave, 1779 N. Highway 67 and 503 Paul Avenue) and made several board and commission appointments.
