Community Corrections Advisory Board elects new officers

Ben Murray was approved as chair of the Tippecanoe County Community Corrections Advisory Board at the board’s Jan. 26 meeting.

Board members nominated and approved Murray by voice vote after a call for nominations from the meeting facilitator. The board likewise approved Judge Vorcey as vice chair and reappointed Kim Wimmer as secretary.

The board discussed the vice chair’s expected duties, with members noting the vice chair would run meetings only when the chair is absent. No further debate or roll-call totals were provided in the transcript; each action passed by voice vote.
