Staff presented proposed provider contracts to replace the county’s current electronic monitoring and drug-screening provider and to add a case-management platform. Corey said two contracts (SCRAM and ADAPT) had already received initial review from the county commissioners; Case Space had not yet been taken to commissioners and would be forwarded if the board approved it.
Corey described the services: SCRAM to provide electronic monitoring equipment and related services, ADAPT to provide on-site drug screening, and Case Space as a platform to integrate surveillance visits, work-release check-ins and participant tracking. He estimated annual savings of about $250,000 from switching providers, and projected roughly $200,000 in total savings after bringing on the third vendor.
After brief discussion the board moved and approved a motion to accept the three contracts by voice vote. Staff said the new systems include integration features and additional technological capabilities; the board did not record roll-call vote tallies in the transcript.
