Livingston County commissioners unanimously approve meeting agenda and accounts-payable batches

The Livingston County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved its May 13, 2024 meeting agenda and two accounts-payable items during a brief May 13 session.

Commissioner Fiani moved to approve the agenda and Commissioner Deaton seconded. After calling for the vote, the Chair announced, “All those in favor of approving the agenda, kindly say aye,” and recorded a 9–0 voice vote in favor.

Later in the meeting the board considered claims and payables identified in the agenda as items 5.1 and 5.2. The Chair read the items as “claims dated 05/13/2024” and payables covering “April 13 through [date not specified in the record].” Commissioner Gross moved to approve both batches; Commissioner Smith supported the motion. The Chair called for a vote and announced the motion passed, 9–0.

The board held two calls to the public during the meeting; both resulted in no speakers or comment cards. Following the votes the board proceeded to a motion to enter a closed session (see separate item).
