Health committee votes 'due pass' on two bills during executive session

The House Committee on Health and Mental Health voted to recommend two bills 'due pass' during an executive session, the chair announced.

Madam Chair Melanie Stinnett moved that House Bill 1977 (sponsored by Representative Cook) be given a 'due pass' recommendation; the roll call recorded 12 ayes and no nos and the motion passed. Chair Stinnett then moved that House Bill 2146 (sponsored by Representative Calverlo) be given a 'due pass' recommendation; by roll call the committee again recorded 12 ayes and no nos.

The committee announced it had a quorum at the start of the meeting (12 present, six absent) before moving into executive session. No further debate on either bill was recorded in the public transcript. The chair subsequently opened the floor for public hearings on additional bills.
