The Shasta County Board of Supervisors unanimously adopted a resolution Tuesday recognizing Kimberly Stevens, a senior staff analyst in the Health and Human Services Agency, as the county’s employee of the month for January 2026.
The board cited Stevens’s work in behavioral-health compliance and quality improvement, tracking state reporting deadlines and training colleagues. Supervisor Harmon presented the resolution and recommended the recognition based on professionalism, initiative and teamwork. "Kimberly's leadership and can-do attitude have played an instrumental part in her promotion," Harmon said during the presentation.
Erin Watts, branch director of HHSA administration, added that Stevens coordinates performance measures and network adequacy validation for the county’s mental health plan. Stevens accepted the recognition and said she was "so honored to be receiving this recognition" and spoke briefly about personal details, including completing a marathon.
The motion to adopt the resolution was moved and seconded during the meeting and carried 5–0. The presentation concluded with a photograph and small gifts provided by county groups.
The board’s action was procedural and ceremonial; no additional county funds or policy changes were associated with the recognition.
