SFCTA re-elects Mirna Melgar as chair, Danny Sauter as vice chair and approves minutes (11-0)

The San Francisco County Transportation Authority on Jan. 27 re-elected its leadership for 2026 and approved routine meeting minutes in unanimous votes.

Vice Chair Danny Sauter nominated Mirna Melgar for another term as chair; the nomination was seconded and the board voted by roll call with 11 ayes to elect Mirna Melgar as chair. Chair Melgar then nominated Danny Sauter for vice chair; that motion was seconded and Sauter was elected vice chair on a roll call vote of 11-0.

Earlier in the meeting the board approved the minutes of the December meeting on a motion by Vice Chair Sauter, seconded by Commissioner Mandelmann; the clerk called the roll and recorded 11 ayes.

The actions were procedural and unanimous; no public comment was recorded for the nominations or minutes items.
