Commission approves sale of two Cedar Highlands parcels, proceeds to Corridor Preservation Fund

The Iron County Commission approved the sale of two Cedar Highlands parcels Nov. 24 for $80,000 each, totaling $160,000, to be deposited into the Corridor Preservation Fund. Staff reported the properties were acquired after the dissolution of the town of Cedar Highlands and had previously been appraised higher; market experience and negotiated offers produced the current sale terms. The commission held a required public hearing (no speakers) and moved to approve the sale and related closing arrangements; commissioners also confirmed that existing earnest money already received will be returned to the Corridor Preservation Fund.
