Select Board concurs with appointment of Allison Lawrence as town accountant

The Westborough Select Board on May 14 voted to concur with the town manager’s appointment of Allison Lawrence as town accountant.Lawrence introduced herself to the board, saying she has been a municipal accountant in the region for more than a decade and that her first day in Westborough will be June 3.The motion to concur, moved and seconded at the meeting, was approved by the board. The appointment carries a term through June 30, 2027. No substantive discussion of salary or job duties occurred beyond Lawrence’s brief description of her background and the board’s welcome.
