Commission reviews and approves Ridgetown/Briarwood subdivision concept

The commission reviewed a major subdivision concept for the Ridgetown/Briarwood Estate, a proposed subdivision of approximately 57.8 acres with a conceptual 132 lots in R-2 zoning. Staff described the layout, noted prior failed rezoning attempts in the area and said the plan includes required stubs and potential access connections to future right-of-way swaps involving TDOT.

Commissioners asked about connections, wetlands and the swap for an access point on the bypass; staff said the concept is informational only and that final engineering and any acquisition processes remain before construction.
