County staff updated the board on water-system projects and requested formal actions for several routine items.
For the NEBO water project Phase 3, staff recommended receiving bids into the minutes and awarding the low bid to Hyatt Pipeline at $1,338,550; the board approved the action, adopted associated resolutions and included the low bid in the minutes.
Staff also presented a senior-center building lease for the lower level to New Beginnings Alliance LLC at a monthly rate of $5,500, which the board approved. The board approved routine EMS write-offs, NEBO leak waivers and a fax-fee waiver for the county library to support residents working on Helene recovery applications.
Finally, the board received property-tax and sales-tax updates and approved a set of FY26 budget amendments (general fund and enterprise items) and discussed FY27 preparation timetables. Staff noted other infrastructure projects and grant applications in progress, including asset-inventory and assessment work by McGill Associates and West Marion project grant timing with the State Water Infrastructure Authority.
The board approved the presented administrative and budget items by voice vote.
