Morrow County commissioners approve routine bills, fund transfers and service agreements

The Morrow County Board of Commissioners approved routine bills, several fund transfers and an electric service agreement during a regular session on Nov. 19, 2025.

The board approved what is transcribed as "Priscilla Bills number 1 through a 117" after a motion and second; roll-call voting recorded affirmative responses from Mister Mason, Mister Abraham and Mister Siegfried. Commissioners also approved appropriations of certified moneys for the engineers fund and other routine transfers that were presented to the board.

Commissioners discussed one payment-related dispute during the meeting: Speaker 2 noted a rate increase to $65 that was set by the city of Guyon and clarified that the increase originated with the city rather than with the county commissioners. A separate proposed transfer for the prosecutor's fund was recorded as "not seconded" and therefore received no vote.

The board approved an electric service agreement and related energy-storage arrangements with East LLC, covering the current service period and authorizing a new contract that will begin in May for the new engineers building. These items were moved, seconded and passed on roll call.

Several motions were handled as routine business with roll-call confirmations. Where a motion lacked a recorded second, no formal vote occurred. The meeting recessed and later returned to session before the development authority provided a separate update.
