Council reviews business-license fee schedule and banking transfers; no final votes taken

Council reviewed Resolution 2025120801, described as formalizing the town fee schedule and allowing multi‑year business license payments (up to five years) with restrictions such as nontransferability and limited refunds. Staff said the fee schedule can be revised at later meetings and that adopting the resolution formalizes existing practices.

Members discussed moving maturing certificates of deposit (CDs) into the PTIF and noted two CDs (103 and 104) that will mature in January 2026; staff and council members agreed Scott and Kim would work with bank contacts to stop automatic renewal and prepare the transfers for approval at the next meeting.

Council also reviewed consent items and past practice on a Christmas bonus for paid employees (last year included a ham and a $100 bonus) and indicated the mayor has discretion for distributions to paid staff, while volunteers were generally excluded.

No formal votes were recorded on these financial items at the work meeting; staff was tasked with follow-up and to present the appropriate motions and accounts for approval at a future meeting.
