Town receives sander donation; council discusses grader, snowplow and fleet needs

Councilors announced a donation from David Erickson of a sander that will be fitted to the town's snowplow truck; staff said a technician will examine required hydraulic hookups next week. The council thanked the donor and agreed to pursue maintenance planning.

Members also reviewed the grader's repair status (batteries needed; grader running after repairs) and discussed storage constraints for vehicles and attachments. Options for multiuse replacements (e.g., 1-ton trucks with dump beds) were raised as cost-saving and operationally flexible alternatives.
