Buffetown Council approves revised policies for boards and committees

The Buffetown Council unanimously approved revisions to the town's policies for boards and committees during a special meeting on Dec. 30, 2025. The vote came after members said they had reviewed the proposed changes and had no recommended edits.

The revisions were presented to the council by the chair, who said the changes were prepared by Chris McEnany and should be finalized before the end of the year so an incoming commentary committee could be appointed and current members could reapply. An unidentified council member moved to approve the changes; Erin Nelson, town manager, seconded the motion. The council then voted unanimously in favor.

Council members gave no substantive amendments during the discussion. The adoption removes the need for any additional interim approvals before staff moves forward on implementing the revised procedures and preparing for committee appointments.

The council moved on to the next agenda item following the vote.
