The Lundy Board of Trustees approved its consent agenda on Jan. 20, authorizing a group of routine and contract items that included an ambulance purchase and several road-construction contracts.
Deputy Manager Bosley summarized the consent agenda. Notable items included authorization for the purchase of one ambulance from Foster Coach Sales for $490,864 with a 3% contingency for a total not to exceed $505,589. The board also approved two contract awards for the Raleigh Road/Swainwood Drive/Roosevelt Avenue improvement projects: Pertano Construction of Addison, Illinois for Phase 1 in the amount of $6,542,314 plus a $140,000 contingency (not to exceed $6,682,314), and DeMeo Brothers Inc. of Elk Grove Village for Phase 2 in the amount of $2,887,523 plus a $70,000 contingency (not to exceed $2,957,523). An additional contract with DeMeo Brothers for a set of village improvement projects was listed at $5,282,963 plus a $100,000 contingency (not to exceed $5,382,963.09).
Deputy Manager Bosley also outlined a resolution authorizing the Northern Illinois Municipal Electric Collaborative (NIMAC) to conduct electricity supply bid auctions for village facilities and, if bids are acceptable, to authorize the village manager to enter into power-supply agreements with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
Trustee Sodoti moved and Trustee Bland seconded approval of the consent agenda. The board took a roll-call vote and the motion carried.
The approvals authorize staff to proceed with procurement and contracting steps as described; project scheduling and vendor negotiations will follow standard contracting procedures and reporting to the board.
