Council approves Waterford Way Townhomes Plat 2 final plat

The Urbandale City Council approved the final plat for Waterford Way Townhomes Plat 2, a project of about seven acres that will include 73 townhome units. Staff described the plat layout, the public‑street dedication (147th Street) and the internal private drives to be maintained by the homeowners association.

Staff said the plat includes typical final‑plat requirements: legal documents, easements and payments. The proposal retains a berm and landscaping along Waterford as a screening element; sidewalks and trail connections were highlighted as part of the overall neighborhood circulation. Staff recommended approval subject to the conditions in the staff report and the Planning & Zoning Commission’s recommendation. Council adopted resolution 024‑2026 to accept the final plat.
