The Priceville Town Council voted unanimously on a slate of routine actions, including approving prior minutes, the meeting agenda and payment of bills, and authorizing funds and an escrow account tied to a development bond.
At the start of the meeting Clerk Shannon called roll and the council moved quickly through housekeeping items. Councilmembers voted to approve the work session minutes from Dec. 8 and the meeting agenda after motions and seconding (roll-call votes recorded by the clerk). The council also approved payment of outstanding bills.
The council authorized $900 to cover council members' Certified Municipal Official (CMO) training plus expenses and asked members to coordinate scheduling with the clerk. It approved $100 in 2026 membership dues to the Alabama Association of Chiefs of Police.
On a separate motion the council voted to open a new checking account at Traditions Bank to hold a $42,500 cash bond associated with "Gid House Landing Phase 2," and directed that the Mayor be authorized to sign the related maintenance agreement when that document is finalized. Council discussion included a request that Patrick and Lonnie coordinate modifications to the motion before execution.
All procedural votes were recorded by roll call and reflected affirmative responses from the council and mayor on each motion during the meeting. No opposing votes were recorded on the items discussed.
What happens next: staff will coordinate training sign-ups for council members, execute the Traditions Bank account and maintenance agreement once paperwork is ready, and process the approved dues payment.
