The Norfolk County Commissioners on Wednesday approved several routine but consequential administrative items, including payroll and expense warrants and personnel changes.
At the start of the meeting the board voted to table the open-session minutes from Jan. 7, 2026. A subsequent motion approved resignations of six seasonal golf associates at the Walsheen Recreational Facility — Kelly O'Toole, Christian Ealy, Isabella Fernald, Thomas Ford, Michael O'Neil and Edmund Tarabasi — after a commissioner moved the item and the board carried it by roll call.
The board also accepted a notice of retirement for Mark Coette, described in meeting remarks as the Agricultural High School’s director of information technology. Meeting materials and remarks list an effective date of "03/04/1926," which appears to be a transcription or typographical error in the record; the retirement was moved, seconded and approved unanimously.
On finance items the commissioners approved the county payroll warrant (Payroll 26-28) for $145,239.52, county expense warrant 01-0226 for $632,549.21, and school expense warrant 26-07 for $161,030.79. Each warrant was moved and seconded and passed on roll-call votes recorded during the meeting.
The motions were procedural and noncontroversial in discussion; the chair called the roll for each vote and recorded affirmative responses.
The meeting adjourned after final business was concluded.
