House of Representatives waives reading of the journal, adjourns until 2 p.m. tomorrow

The House of Representatives convened for a short floor session that included an invocation and member introductions before moving through routine procedural business and scheduling.

After opening remarks and introductions of guests, the House considered a motion to dispense with the reading of the journal. The gentleman from Rankin, identified in the record as Representative Powell, moved to dispense with the reading; the motion was approved by voice vote.
