The Redeveloped Commission’s meeting was paused and formally tabled after members concluded they did not have a quorum, Speaker 2 said during opening remarks. "The Redeveloped Commission has run into a little issue with getting a quorum here," Speaker 2 said, citing a football game and several members being out of town.
The stalled meeting meant commissioners did not consider agenda items listed for the session, including approval of claims. Speaker 2 said the group would try to move the meeting to Jan. 29 and that staff would post a new meeting notice at least 48 hours before the rescheduled date. "We will table this and we're going to try to have our meeting postponed and move to the January 29," Speaker 2 said. "If that does not work with our members, we will find a date very quickly and have it posted 48 hours prior to the meeting."
Speaker 3 added that the agenda will be resent to the regular distribution list so members and the public receive an updated notice. "I'll resend the agenda to the regular distribution group as well," Speaker 3 said.
Because a quorum was not present, no votes or formal actions were taken at the session. The Commission’s next formal business will depend on the availability of members once an alternate date is selected and posted according to the required public-notice window.
