Keller resident tells council 'you\'re not ICE\'s mayor,' renews criticism of partnership

Sarah Ross of 1925 Old York Drive used her allotted public‑comment time to renew criticism of a council decision made five months earlier that she described as approving a "2 87 g partnership between the city of Keller and ICE." She said residents who opposed the vote have not forgotten and accused council members of ignoring community input.

"You're not ICE's mayor. You're not ICE's city council," Ross told the council, urging elected officials to act on Keller residents' concerns and saying she expected the issue to be remembered on election day. She cited national reporting of alleged maltreatment in ICE facilities and framed the partnership as inconsistent with community values.

The council did not respond directly to Ross’s claims during the public‑comment period; the meeting proceeded to other agenda items.

Also during persons to be heard, Dean Felpouch, EMS liaison for Methodist Southlake Medical Center, offered congratulations to the fire department’s newly sworn leaders and expressed the hospital’s support.
