Riverton Mayor Announces City Participation in America 250 Anniversary Events

Mayor Tish Broker announced that Riverton City will participate in the national America 250 commemoration marking the nation’s 250th anniversary. “I’m Tish Broker and it is an honor to serve as your mayor,” she said as she introduced the city’s role in the yearlong celebration.

The announcement frames the celebration as a chance to reflect on the events of 1776 and the Revolutionary era while honoring civic service and sacrifice. Broker said the observance is “more than a birthday celebration,” and urged residents to join community events that she said will emphasize “faith, freedom, service, and hope.”

City officials have unveiled a new America 250 city logo and installed banners at city hall; Broker said commemorative streetlight banners will appear throughout the community during the year. “You may have already noticed some signs of this special celebration taking shape,” she said.
