Resident raises allegations of retaliation and hostile work environment involving Priceville officer

Scott Morrow addressed the Priceville Town Council during the public-comment portion of the meeting to raise personnel concerns involving Officer Gary Chapman.

Morrow said Chapman appealed a 120-hour suspension and that a grievance has been filed on his behalf. He described Chapman as "a bright young man" and said Chapman "doesn't wanna leave Priceville," urging the council to be aware of what he called a hostile work environment stemming from memos and disciplinary actions (SEG 146-156, SEG 186-189).

Morrow named several attorneys and representatives involved in related legal actions, including counsel representing the city and counsel representing Chapman, and said an EEOC complaint had been filed connected to Will Will Banks not being named chief (SEG 155-196). Morrow said he was not at the meeting to litigate the matters in public but to make the council aware of ongoing grievances and litigation. He asked the council to consider working together with the parties rather than being adversarial.
