Council to place Gold Hill Mesa Metro District No.1 dissolution on consent

Drew Fox of the planning department briefed council on a resolution to consent to the dissolution of Gold Hill Mesa Metropolitan District No. 1. Fox summarized statutory criteria for dissolution (district wholly within the city, no remaining debt, no assets or service responsibilities) and said the district attested that responsibilities were transferred to District No. 2 and that a developer reimbursement agreement reassigns obligations.

Council response: Council members asked clarifying questions about stormwater and maintenance responsibilities and staff confirmed District No. 2 will take on maintenance obligations. The council agreed to put the resolution on the consent agenda for the regular meeting.
