Charlton conservation commission: minutes approved, several hearings continued, one filing withdrawn and administrative certificates issued

The Town of Charlton Conservation Commission handled a mix of routine and substantive business at its meeting. The body approved minutes from its Oct. 22, 2025 session, handled administrative certificates, and set continuances and site visits for several filings.

Key actions at a glance: the commission approved the minutes by voice vote; it accepted a staff recommendation to withdraw DP128-197180 (Richardson Corner Road) from the docket; it issued a complete certificate of compliance for DP1281877 (61 T Hall Road) to close a prior order; it closed the hearing and proceeded toward an order for the accessory dwelling filing at 101 North Sturbridge Road; and it reissued a certificate of compliance that had not been recorded for 129 South Bridal Road (GP 1281417).

Continuances scheduled included the North Main Street NOI (continued to Feb. 11) and the New England Power transmission project (continued pending replication and monitoring plans and a site inspection). Several other NOIs with missing DEP file numbers or Board of Health approvals were continued to allow staff time to secure the outstanding documents.

The commission also reviewed a draft town hunting policy for town land and agreed to post the policy online for public access, while asking members to review the document in more detail before final ratification.

The meeting ended after newly reissued administrative paperwork and a motion to adjourn.
