Members Raise Ticketing, RFID and Website Concerns as Sun City West Pilots New Systems

Residents raised questions about PurplePass ticketing and verification, dog-park access and the association's broader online and marketing presence.

One attendee said a nonresident created a PurplePass account and bought tickets, asking whether the vendor had been tested. Events staff explained some clubs choose to open shows to the public; box office and events staff said early account-creation issues have been cleaned up and the association is evaluating alternatives and Single Sign-On integration for the coming year.

"Member services isn't the events department," the box-office representative said, describing a process to upload current rosters and verify rec card numbers when creating event tickets. Events staff asked residents to report specific problem accounts so they can be deactivated.

Separately, residents urged better access control at the dog park after seeing off-leash and aggressive behavior. Staff said an RFID pilot (MultiCard) is planned and that the dog park is a likely first test site to control entry and set access times.

The master-plan consultant and several residents also flagged shortcomings in the association's public-facing website and club discovery tools, urging more modern, consolidated digital services and an improved welcome/onboarding experience for new residents.

Staff acknowledged the technology and marketing gaps and said evaluations of ticketing vendors, RFID pilots and website improvements are underway as part of master-plan and capital discussions.
