Sustainability Committee approves minutes and sets two subcommittees

During routine business the Sustainability Committee approved minutes from the Dec. 10 meeting by voice vote. Later, after discussing the committee’s subcommittee structure, members voted to continue two subcommittees: Built/Natural Environment and Water Conservation. The motion was made, seconded and approved by voice votes; no roll‑call tallies were recorded in the meeting transcript.

The committee discussed a possible Zero Waste or composting subcommittee but agreed to hold off pending staff and council direction. Staff will update membership for the two continuing subcommittees and report back at the next meeting.
