Planning staff proposes administrative UDO changes to reflect 'Forward 2045' comprehensive plan

Chris Murphy of Planning and Development Services gave a brief staff presentation on Unified Development Ordinance text amendment CC‑31. The amendment would update the UDO to reflect the county's adopted comprehensive plan name "Forward 2045," replace the existing Legacy 2030 definition with the Forward 2045 definition, and simplify references to metro and community activity centers to the single phrase "activity center." Murphy said the change is administrative and that similar updates have passed through the planning board and city council committee.

Murphy said the amendment previously went to the planning board in October, to a council committee in November, and was adopted by the city council in December. He said staff included language in the adopting resolution that allows reference to the new comp plan in staff reports but this text amendment cleans up ordinance references.

No substantive policy changes were proposed in this update; Murphy offered to answer questions and the board had none.
